Who started Greenbridge?

RuthAnn Purchase — trained in linguistics and anthropology at Singapore’s RELC, in community mediation and conflict analysis with Plowshares Institute in South Africa, and effective social change at Pendle Hill with Jungian psychologist Dan Snyder. While spending six months with Teya Sepinuck of TOVA Artistic Projects for Social Change, RuthAnn began to see the power of the arts as a loud voice into society. As an associate with the Environmental Leadership Program, RuthAnn blended her learning experiences and created the Greenbridge Community Development Corporation.
Dan Kleiman — Composer / keyboardist Dan Kleiman has accompanied Grammy winning artists such as Benny Golson, Ernie Watts, Dave Valentin, and The Fifth Dimension.
For 15 years, Dan co-led the world jazz group SIORA with Phyllis Chappel. Some of Dan’s most recent compositions were for social change theater projects, including TOVA, where Dan met RuthAnn. Regrettably, this brilliant pianist / composer / arranger died suddenly in 2010.
